The MedX portable laser is ideal for
in-clinic or off site treatments. This convenient low level laser
allows you the freedom to administer MedX Phototherapy quickly and
easily anywhere. Automatic, timed cycles with audible feedback of
energy delivered make treatments simple and reliable. The unit is
lightweight with a built in rechargeable nickel metal hydride
battery. The MedX Portable uses infrared GaAlAs laser diodes, plus a
visible red guide LED. It includes a convenient carrying case with
patient's and clinician's laser goggles.
The large area superluminous diodes (SLD)
cluster provides energy with a combination of predominantly infrared
(870 nm) and visible red (633nm) diodes to provide an even
distribution of light energy over the entire area.
Two clusters can be strapped-on for hands
free application, allowing unattended treatment. While treatment is
being provided the console displays the remaining time and energy
delivered. Once treatment has been completed the clusters are
automatically turned off.
- MedX Handheld Laser Accessory
The MedX handheld laser is an
ergonomically designed accessory that is powered by the MedX
Console. This laser provides a total of 100 or 200 mW of power with
three GaAlAs laser diodes and a visible guide light.
The accessory is
programmed through the console and has an ON/OFF switch on the
accessory handle. This allows the laser to be activated and
reactivated separately from the superluminous diodes (SLD) cluster.

Phototherapy is a proven and highly effective treatment which
increases local microcirculation, accelerates tissue repair, reduces
pain, and decreases inflammation/edema, enhances immune response and
angiogenesis.
The MedXHOME System has been developed to offer a home care choice
to patients while maintaining careful outcome
evaluation by the programming clinician, allowing the monitoring of
patient treatments usage and outcomes.
This System is lightweight and user-friendly and uses hands-free superluminous diode (SLD) technology to administer phototherapy
treatments in the comfort of the patient’s home. Protocols are
programmed by the treatment provider using the MedX Treatment
Guidelines which outlines accurate protocols and settings for over
65 common ailments. A maximum of five different treatments can be
programmed into the System at one time. The number of days for use
is set by the clinician to ensure the system and the patient return
to the clinic. The System set-up is quick and easy and makes
preparing for treatments simple.
Another feature of the MedXHOME System is the ability to gather
information and responses from patients. This information allows the
clinician to track the success and use of the MedXHOME System by the
patient and allows the gathering of data such as increased range of
motion, lessening of pain or the level of overall wellness of the
patient between each or multiple treatments for a total of 8
different measures.
MedXHOME, as a
supplement to the MedX Phototherapy Treatment Systems, is an
additional revenue stream with the return exceeding the original
investment within the first month of renting the System to patients.
The System comes in a practical carrying case with supporting
educational documentation for both clinician and patient. FDA
